This was a scene that I created for college. The task was to create a curiosity shop for any topic. I decided to use sci-fi tools which a barely being held together however during the year the scene changed to a playground of adding more models and trying blenders cycles engine with lights and fog.
Fog Test
The inspiration for this scene was seeing the lights whilst in a multi-story car park and seeing how the light reacts with mist.
I modeled the DeLorean whilst using the Toyota in the background to see where detail matters in a car model and used them both for a render
Nixie Display
This was made with inspiration from a puzzle in Portal 2 where you have to press two buttons in old Aperture Science and they used nixie clocks to count down the time between both presses. I then challenged myself to make a detailed model of a nixie tube with each lighting element held into place and a hexagon pattern metal shroud encased in glass all wired together
Particle Simulation
This piece started with me figuring out blender’s particle system but developed into this.
I decided to add some lighting and implement a 3d version of my logo to both cast shadows and also give depth to the particles.
