About me

Hi, I’m Joe Rudling, a student at Norwich University of Arts, studying Games Development.

I’m passionate about VR having owned an Oculus Rift CV1 back in 2017 and then upgrading to an Oculus Quest 2 in 2020.

I use the Quest to develop VR games with complex mechanics such as Inverse Kinematics to make the game more Immersive as well as working on a head-based locomotion system to allow those with motion sickness to still gain a good VR experience with no limitations.

I am also working at Norwich VR both using VR in an industry standard as well as upgrading there technology to improve clients experiences within VR

Software that I use

The software I use to create games are:

Unreal Engine 4/5 - as a game engine

Blender - what I’m more comfortable with modeling and texturing.

Maya - basic modeling and texturing before I moved to blender.

GitHub - Version control with multiple workers

Trello - Keep organized with ideas and tasks

UE Blueprints - easy coding
